I did not realize until recently that the combination of blueberry and chocolate was such a completely magical experience. I have always paired chocolate with all of the other popular berries like raspberry and strawberry. I totally kicked blueberry to the curb. Poor blueberry! Totally didn’t deserve that that kind of treatment.

I was recently at a juice bar where they had a cacao and blueberry smoothie and the thought of it intrigued me so I went home and made my own version. I was completely sold and it is now my new favorite smoothie. I either drink it as a dessert or add some protein to it for a smoothie. So if you also have kicked blueberry to the curb and given all the attention to the other berries I would highly recommend giving this drink a try.

Blueberry + Chocolate FOREVER!

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup coconut milk
  2. 2/3 blueberries, fresh or frozen
  3. 1 Heaping Tbsp raw cacao powder
  4. 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  5. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  6. 5-6 cubes of ice

Directions:

Place all the ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
